GENESEO, N.Y. - The Empire 8 announced its men's lacrosse All-Conference awards on Wednesday afternoon, and SUNY Geneseo took home nine All-Conference honors.
Aksel Stanat,
Josh Knapp and
Jack Helrigel earned First-Team honors,
Ronnie Trebing brought home Second-Team recognition, and
Ryan Trebing,
Ian Leahey,
Jake Perinchief,
Sam Myung, and
Aidan Crane rounded out the awards on Third-Team. Additionally,
Owen Ellick was named to the Empire 8 Tomorrow's Leaders team.
Stanat earned First-Team honors after posting 26 goals and 12 assists during his sophomore campaign, while Knapp and Helrigel joined him on First-Team after leading the defensive effort. Knapp surpassed 100 career ground balls by picking up 49 this year, and led the team in caused turnovers with 31. Helrigel finished with five points on three goals and two assists, while adding 26 ground balls.
Ronnie Trebing was the lone member for the Knights on Second-Team, as he led the offensivive effort this season with 49 goals and 18 assists for 67 points.
Ryan Trebing picked up Third-Team honors by posting 61 points on 34 goals and 27 assists. Leahey and Perinchief joined him on Third-Team by combining 51 points this season.
Aidan Crane and
Sam Myung rounded out the All-Conference awards on Third-Team, as the two led the team in ground balls with 63 and 57, respectively.
One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2026 Men's Lacrosse Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen, and Ellick earned that honor for Geneseo.
