GENESEO, N.Y. - The Empire 8 announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and sophomore quarterback Ella Koopman won Offensive Player of the Week honors for flag football.

Koopman led Geneseo to a 4-0 week, picking up Empire 8 wins over Brockport and Sage, then traveling to Long Island where they swept St. Joseph's LI and Old Westbury on Saturday. In the 20-13 win over the Golden Eagles, Koopman went 16-29 for 186 yards and two TDs, then followed it up against Sage at 23-32 for 205 yards and two TDs, while rushing for 30 yards and another touchdown. Koopman went on to run for three touchdowns and throw for another as the Knights handed St. Joseph's their first loss of the season, 26-19. She then threw for four touchdowns and ran for another in a 34-0 win over Old Westbury.
