TROY, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo flag football team picked up its second Empire 8 win of the week on Friday evening, traveling to Sage and picking up a 27-0 victory. The Knights improve to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in conference action.
Sophomore quarterback
Ella Koopman was dominant in the game, going 23-32 passing for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Koopman added a rushing touchdown as well, while
Natalia DiPalma scored the fourth touchdown for the Knights.
Corina Dunn led the receiving corps with eight catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, while
Abigail Uhrich added six catches for 43 yards and a touchdown. In the defensive shut out effort,
Caitlyn Schutte posted a team-high eight tackles, while
Jessica Chase posted six.
Fiyorina Daniel and
Kenna MacKenzie each added an interception as well.
The Knights return to action tomorrow with a douleheader at St. Joseph's Long Island.
