GENESEO, N.Y. - The Empire 8 announced its weekly awards on Monday, March 23, and SUNY Geneseo picked up two honors.
Ronnie Trebing brought home Offensive Player of the Week for men's lacrosse, while
Nevaeh Ross picked up Pitcher of the Week for softball.
Ross was dominant on the rubber for the Knights this past week, posting a 2-1 record during the week after earning a win the weekend prior. Ross' week was highlighted by a 10-inning complete game performance against Plymouth St., earning the win with six strikeouts and no earned runs. Ross also earned a win over Buffalo St. with only one earned run. The Friendship, N.Y. native leads Geneseo with a 2.12 ERA for the season.
Trebing tallied 11 points on seven goals and four assists in a pair of wins over St. Mary's (Maryland) and E8 foe Hartwick College. He had seven points on four goals and three assists in a 17-16 win at St. Mary's and added three goals and an assist, as Geneseo earned an 11-6 win over Hartwick to begin league play.
