Box Score Canton, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo Men's Lacrosse team lost on the road to No.14 St. Lawerence University on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights dropped to 2-2 on the season while the Saints advanced to 5-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Kevin Mounton scored the first goal for the Knights 37 seconds into the second quarter on a man advantage, assisted by Riley Henselder.
- The Saints had a 9-1 lead at halftime.
- Sophomore Jack Helrigel bounced a shot into the top corner of the net seven minutes into the third quarter.
- Junior Jimmy Atkinson scored at 12:57 to cut down the Saint's lead.
- Sophomore Ronnie Trebing added another with 12:02 left in the final quarter.
- Sophomore Stephen Mendolia scored with 0:24 left in the game.
- The game ended with a final score of St. Lawerence 16, Geneseo 5.
QUICK FACTS:
- Kevin Mounton's first-half goal was his second of the season and 10th of his career as a Knight.
- Jimmy Atkinson recorded a goal and an assist throughout the contest. Atkinson leads the Knights with 13 points on the season.
