GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo equestrian team hosted their final home show of the year and senior day on Saturday, Nov. 2 and then traveled to St. Lawrence for a show on Sunday, Nov. 3. The Knights celebrated lone senior
Katherine Daviau on Saturday and finished fourth overall, then ended Sunday's show in a tie for fourth place.
Geneseo earned four first-place finishes on Saturday.Â
Airianna Jimenez placed first in Introductory Equitation and pointed out into the next division, Pre-novice Equitation.Â
Ashley Merz and
Teagan Werner placed first in Limit Equitation over fences, whileÂ
Lucy Ray placed first in her Pre-Novice Equitation class. Also competing on the day wasÂ
Ashley Merz who placed third in Limit Equitation on the flat,
Hannah Klein and
Zoe Hanna who finished third in Novice Equitation on the flat, and Daviau who placed third in Pre-Novice Equitation.
On Sunday,Â
Ashley Merz highlighted the show for the Knights by placing first in both Limit Equitation over fences and on the flat, winning Reserve High Point rider for the entire show.Â
Aubree Yokota placed second in Novice Equitation and
Clare O'Brien placed third in Introductory Equitation.
