BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team improved to 6-0 in SUNYAC play on Tuesday afternoon as they traveled to Brockport and earned a 14-6 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior attacker Kevin Cook got the action started with back-to-back goals in the first three minutes of play. The Golden Eagles quickly responded with three unanswered goals, and took a one-goal lead at 4-3 going into the second quarter.
• Geneseo's defense answered the call in the second quarter as they shutout Brockport, and allowed the offense to regain the lead by scoring three goals. Cook capped off the quarter by scoring with 12 seconds left to make it a 6-4 advantage heading to the second half.
• The Knights carried that momentum into the second half, as the defense only allowed two goals in the final 30 minutes. Geneseo dropped eight second half goals and rolled to the 14-6 win.

QUICK FACTS

• Cook led the offensive effort with five goals and one assist, while William McCumiskey, Sean Byrne, Kevin Mouton, and Drew Liguori all chipped in three points.
• Sophomore defender Trevor Bollinger totaled six caused turnovers and six ground balls, while Ryan Lee led the team with nine ground balls.
• Junior goalkeeper Mark Pav played all 60 minutes in goal and earned the win with eight saves.

The Knights will conclude their regular season on Saturday when they travel to Cortland with the top-seed and home field advantage for playoffs on the line.
