Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team struggled in their season opener against Ithaca College, as they fell 14-3 at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bombers got up 2-0 in an early defensive struggle, but halfway through the first quarter sophomore attacker Robert Boneillo put the Knights on the board in a man-up situation off an assist from junior midfielder William McCumiskey.
- Ithaca went on to extend its first half lead to 6-1, and then back-to-back goals from Geneseo with under four minutes to play before halftime brought the score within reach. However, the Bombers answered back before the break and carried a five-goal lead into the second half.
- The Knights couldn't find their rhyhtm offensively throughout the game, and ultimately fell 14-3 in their season opener.
