Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo seniors combined for three goals and four assists as the Knights pounded out an 8-5 victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) rival Brockport on Friday afternoon at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo jumped out to a 3-0 first-quarter lead, shutting out the Golden Eagles through the first frame. Sophomore midfielder William McCumiskey opened the scoring while sophomore attacker Christian Marcello, Jr. and sophomore midfielder Keegan Doller each tallied scores to give the Knights an early lead.
- Brockport rallied for three-straight goals to open the second quarter, tying the game with 3:17 to play in the frame. Geneseo answered with three-consecutive goals of their own as Doller scored his second with 2:12 to play. Senior attacker James Pratt added a goal with 33 second to go and senior midfielder Cameron Chiodo beat the buzzer with a goal in transition with a second remaining to give Geneseo a 6-3 lead entering halftime.
- Senior midfielder Connor Griffin scored the only goal of the third quarter, jumping over a Brockport defender to fire a shot past the goalie and giving the Knights a 7-3 lead.
- The Golden Eagles scored a pair of man-up goals in the fourth quarter, but junior attacker Kevin Cook tallied with 9:50 to play to put the game out of reach.

The Knights (5-3, 5-1 SUNYAC) earn the second seed in the SUNYAC West and will travel to the top seed in the SUNYAC East, Oneonta, for the conference semifinals on Tuesday, May 4.
