Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior attacker Kevin Cook registered a career-high nine points as the Knights beat up on State Univeristy of New York (SUNYAC) opponent Oswego, 20-4, Saturday at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights held Oswego scoreless in the first quarter, setting the tone on defense. Senior attacker Connor Griffin scored two in the quarter, including one on the man-advantage. Senior attackers James Pratt and Tim Fallo each recorded two points in the quarter as the Knights opened with a 5-0 lead.
- Cook scored three of his five goals in the second quarter as the Knights extended their lead. Fallo also scored in the quarter to give the Knights a 9-2 halftime advantage.
- Coming out of the half, Cook recorded three straight assists on Knight goals, including two to sophomore midfielder William McCumiskey. Cook recorded all four of his assist in the quarter as the Knights piled on, taking a 16-3 lead into the fourth.
- In the fourth quarter, sophomore midfielder Kenny Hannaford scored his first career collegiate goal. Junior attacker Nicholas Gonzalez scored his first of the season in the quarter. First year attacker Robert Boniello and sophomore attacker Brady Sullivan also found the net to make the final score 20-4.
