Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

ONEONTA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior outfielder Alyssa Presutti finished the day with three hits and an RBI but the Knights allowed a pair of four-run innings, one in each game, as they fell to Oneonta, 8-3 and 5-1, on Saturday morning.

GAME ONE
Sophomore pitcher Taylor Moore got the start, while senior pitcher Alexis Kidder and sophomore Alyssa Persich combined for 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.

The Knights took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when a leadoff single by Persich turned into a manufactured run. Oneonta responded with a run in the bottom of the inning to tie it.

Geneseo took a 3-1 lead in the third inning on an RBI fielder's choice off sophomore Anna Merante's bat and an RBI single by Moore. The Knights' lead didn't last long as the Red Dragons plated four runs on five hits, including a solo home run to take a 5-3 lead. The hosts added three insurance runs in the late innings to cushion their lead and close out Geneseo.

GAME TWO
Six Knights recorded a hit, but the offense could only manage one run behind first-year pitcher Ashlyn Kersch. Kersch tossed 4.2 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits. Kidder tossed another 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.

Geneseo trailed 1-0 after the first inning but came back to tie the game in the fifth. Senior infielder Abby Dennett and sophomore catcher Taylor Fedor each singled in the inning and two batters later Presutti brought home Fedor with a single up the middle to tie the game at 1-1.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Knights were plagued by the big inning again as Oneonta plated four runs on five hits and capitalized on a pair of Geneseo errors to take a 5-1 lead that they held through the end of teh game.
