CANTON, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior midfielder Joe Chiara scored two goals but it was St. Lawrence taking a 19-4 victory over the visiting Knights, Tuesday.

The Saints (8-0) scored eight-straight goals in the first quarter and built a 9-0 lead 11 seconds into the second quarter before Chiara got the Knights (4-3) on the board with 13:04 on the clock. 

St. Lawrence scored two more times before Geneseo junior attackman Tim Wright scored with 55 seconds remaining as the host squad carried an 11-2 edge into halftime.

The Saints piled on five more goals in the third stanza and out-scored the Knights 3-2 in the final quarter en route to the 15-goal victory. 

Geneseo opens play in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) on Saturday, hosting Oswego at 3:00 p.m.
