GENESEO, N.Y. - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its All-Region honors on Friday, May 15, and SUNY Geneseo had four student-athletes bring home recognition.
Natalie Long,
Rosemary Mahoney,
Violet Piccinini, and
Katie Rajkowski all earned Second-Team honors.
Mahoney and Long led the Knights offense all season long and earned First-Team All-Empire 8 honors while finishing first and second on the team in points with 68 and 60, respectively. Mahoney posted 33 goals and 35 assists, marking the second-straight season with 68 points for the sophomore, and Long surpassed the 100 career goal mark after recording a team-best 42 goals. Rajkowski also landed on First-Team All-Empire 8 by recording 37 points, 54 draw controls, and 35 ground balls. Piccinini picked up Second-Team All-Empire 8 honors and highlighted her junior campaign by setting the single-season draw control record with 88 while tacking on 31 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers for the defense.
