GENESEO, N.Y. - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2025 Spring Individual Scholar All-Americans, and SUNY Geneseo had eight student-athletes earn the recognition. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
On the women's side,
Alex Sotek and
Alise Hale brought home First-Team honors, while
Lauren Savage and
Lydia Benjamin earned Second-Team recognition. On the men's side,
Trent Makowiec was named to the First-Team, while
Alex Palmer,
Greg Meder, and
Griffin Merkling earned Second-Team honors.
Additionally, both teams earned Spring Scholar-All-America honors, with the women's team recording a 3.55 GPA and the men a 3.26. The awards are in recognition for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2025 spring semester.
