Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team earned its third-straight victory on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Nazareth, 20-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights got off to a slow start as they trailed the Golden Flyers 3-1 nine minutes into the action. Geneseo's offense quickly found their rhtyhm and netted four unanswered goals to close out the first quarter and take a 5-3 lead.
- Geneseo continued to dominate the game on the offensive end as they scored five more goals in the second quarter to take a 10-5 lead into halftime.
- Graduate attacker Hannah Marafioti led the Knights to an eight-goal third quarter by scoring three and assisting on one. A goal with 40 seconds left from first-year attacker Madelynn Brown extended Geneseo's lead to 10 goals heading into the final quarter.
- The Knights went on to close out the game by a score of 20-9 in their home opener at College Stadium.

- Marafioti led Genseo on offense with nine points on six goals and three assists. Madelynn Brown chipped in seven points on four goals and three assists, while graduate mifielder Megan Henderson recorded seven draw controls, four goals, and one assist.
