FREDONIA, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior attacker Hannah Marafioti scored four goals and added two assists as the Knights handled Fredonia 14-5 in a State University of New York (SUNYAC) matchup Saturday at University Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Senior attacker Tessa Doody got things going early for the Knights, scoring two quick ones within the first five minutes. Marafioti and senior midfielder Megan Henderson earned assists on each goal, respectively.
• The Knights went on to score the next four goals, stretching their lead to 6-0. Henderson scored the third and was assisted by Marafioti. Senior midfielder Laura Skrzypczyk scored the fourth (16:42) on an assist by junior midfielder Jacqui Thorsen and Marafioti then tallied the fifth. Skrzypcyk and Thorsen then linked up for the sixth (14:03) for Skrzypczyk's second of the game.
• Geneseo took a 8-2 lead into halftime as Marafioti and Doody each added scores before the break. 
• The Knights started the second half the same way they started the first with six-straight goals, pushing their lead to 14-2. First-year attacker Reagan Vorgang scoerd her first collegiate goal and junior midfielder Emma Gaenzle added to the total as well as the Knights earned the 14-5 win.

• Junior goalie Margaret Rosaschi and sophomore goalie Lindsey Isenberg each made one save.
• First year midfielder Emily Salanger led the team with four ground balls.
• Henderson led the team on draw controls with four.

The Knights wil face SUNYAC opponent Fredonia (2-6, 1-4) again on Thursday, April 22nd. The game is set for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff at College Stadium in Geneseo.
