Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior attacker Hannah Marafioti scored four goals but the 12th-ranked Geneseo Knights fell to the 17th-ranked Brockport Golden Eagles, 15-7, at Brockport on Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marafioti tallied a free position score just over 10:00 into the game to tie the contest, 1-1, and after a Brockport score, added a second free position goal to tie the game, 2-2 at the 16:25 mark.
- Brockport scored three-straight goals, but Marafioti tallied her third of the game to cut into the lead as senior midfielder Laura Skrzypczyk picked up the assist.
- Senior attacker Jacqui Thorsen scored the Knights' last goal of the half with 4:06 to go. Brockport scored two minutes later to take a 9-5 lead into the halftime break.
- In the second half, the Golden Eagles maintained at least a four-goal lead throughout and they held on to win 15-7. Marafioti and Skrzypczyk scored once each for the only Geneseo goals in the second half.
