CLARKSON, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Tessa Doody tallied 3 goals and 3 assists as the Knights pushed past Clarkson, 12-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights opened up the scoring less than 30 seconds into the game as Doody netted her first of the day off an assist from junior forward Hannah Marafioti.

• Marafioti then scored a goal of her own before Clarkson and Geneseo traded goals for the remainder of the period, ending the half with Geneseo ahead, 4-3.

• The two teams continued to trade goals in the second half as neither team led by more than one goal until the final five minutes of the game.

• With five minutes left, Doody completed her hat-trick giving the Knights a one goal lead, 9-8.

• Junior forward Megan Henderson then finished back-to-back goals to put the game out of reach, while sophomore midfielder Emma Gaenzle tallied a goal at the buzzer to secure the Geneseo victory, 12-8.

QUICK FACTS

• With herthree-goal outing, Tessa Doody has now recorded three hat-tricks in her last three games for the Knights. 

• Sophomore goalie Margaret Rosaschi made nine saves, recording a 52% save percentage. 

• Hannah Marafioti recorded four points with two goals and two assists, her fourth straight game with four or more points.
