Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior attacker Hannah Marafioti finished with a team-high four goals and an assist as the Knights defeated visiting Rochester, 13-10, on Monday night at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo opened the game on a 7-2 run as senior attacker Tessa Doody scored three goals in the first 20:27 of the game.
- Junior midfielder Laura Skrzypczyk and Marafioti each tacked on a goal before halftime as the Knights took a 9-3 lead into the break.
- In the second half, Geneseo pulled ahead by as many as eight goals, 12-4, with 21:17 to play, but Rochester came storming back, outscoring Geneseo 6-1 the rest of the way.
- Up three goals with under a minute remaining, Skrzypczyk won the final draw control as the Knights bled the clock dry.
