Women's Lacrosse Comes Up Short At York, 5-4

YORK, Pa. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore midfielder Erin Cregan and senior midfielder Liz Felix each scored two goals but it was the Knights coming up short at York, 5-4, in women's lacrosse action, Friday afternoon.

Cregan scored twice in the first half, including on a free-position attempt, while Felix also notched a free-position goal as Geneseo went into halftime with a 3-2 advantage.

The Spartans (5-2) tallied three-consecutive goals to open the second half and take a 5-3 lead with 6:50 on the clock. Felix registered her second tally of the day at the 5:22 mark but York kept the Knights off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game to secure the win.

Geneseo (1-3) returns to action this Sunday (March 20) at Stevenson (Md.) for a game set to begin at 12 p.m.
