Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior midfielder Liz Felix scored four first-half goals while junior attack Tara Basile added two goals, two assists and five draw controls to lead the No. 13 Knights to a 13-5 victory over St. Lawrence in a game played at RIT's Turf Field.
Felix scored the first two goals of the game before senior attack Katey Hart netted two of her three goals on the afternoon as Geneseo opened a 4-0 lead with 18:08 on the clock.
The Saints (1-4) got on the board with a tally by Kiera Taussig, but Felix sandwiched two more goals around a Basile score to give Geneseo a 7-1 lead with 9:57 left in the half.
Geneseo (4-0) scored four more goals, including a pair by first-year midfielder Erin Cregan and another by Hart, to build an 11-1 halftime lead.
The Knights' defense held St. Lawrence to only one goal in the first 23 minutes of the second half, while the offense scored two of the next three goals on markers by Basile at 29:10 and first-year attack Rachel Fisher with 9:02 left in regulation to put the game out of reach.
The Saints scored three times in the final seven minutes, including two more goals by Taussig, but it was Geneseo picking up its fourth-straight victory to open the season.
Geneseo returns to action on Tuesday, taking on host Rochester at 4:00 p.m.
