GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's cross country team highlighted the Division III preseason polls by being ranked No. 1 in the country by D3 Glory Days, while landing in the No. 5 slot from the USTFCCCA. The women's team also cracked the top-20 in both polls, landing at No. 15 from D3 Glory Days and No. 19 by the USTFCCCA.
The Knights are looking to capture the programs first National Championship on the men's side, following their runner-up finish at the 2025 NCAA Championship meet. Geneseo returns All-Americans
Emerson Comer and
Pierce Young, who took 15th and 29th, respectively, in 2025. Other key returners include
Collin Brown,
Connor Hitt, and
Thomas Blake, who will be joined by a promising group of newcomers.

On the women's side, the Knights reached the top-20 in both preseason polls, and will be led by a strong group of returners that include

Greylynn Guyer,
Kaitlyn Hotaling,
Alexa Kosier,
Shelby Boise,

Katie Bauman. The Knights will also welcome a large group of newcomers, who will look to make an impact in 2026.
