NEW ORLEANS – Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2025 NCAA DIII Cross Country season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the season.

Dan Moore highlighted these honors for SUNY Geneseo, being named the Niagara Region Men's Athlete and Coach of the Year, respectively. Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Hagan finished fourth at the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina, just one week after winning the individual title at the Niagara Region Championships. Hagan led the Knights to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship Meet, and a first-place finish at the Regional Championship. He also won the individual title at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational and was runner-up at the Connecticut College Invitational.
Moore, in his 11
th year as head, led the Knights to a runner-up finish at the NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with 132 points. Earlier in the season, Moore led the Knights to team titles at the Niagara Region Championships with 29 points and Empire 8 Conference Championships with 24 points.
