ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo men's cross country team won the team title at the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted by the University of Rochester, topping Colgate 24-35 in the 8k race.

Collin Brown paced the Knights and took the individual title, crossing the line in 25:14.3. James Tette and Thomas Blake followed him across in second and third, finishing in 25:16.0 and 25:16.8 to give Geneseo the top three spots. Jake Gaudette and Michael Taranto rounded out the scoring five in sixth and 12th with times of 25:34.5 and 25:46.8. Daniel McPherson and Ethan Becker also put up solid performances for the Knights, placing 13th and 19th in 25:49.0 and 25:58.4.

Geneseo's top five runners finished within 33 seconds of one another, the tightest spread of any team in the 17-team field. The Knights return to action next week as the team will split up between the RPI Fairground Showdown and the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan. FULL RESULTS
