NEW YORK CITY - The SUNY Geneseo women's track and field competed at day 1 of the AARTFC Indoor Championships this afternoon, currently sitting in third place with 20 points.
Jillian Ambler had a great run in the 60m hurdle prelims, finishing in second with a time of 8.59.
Mackenzie Kubat followed it with another second place finish, this time in the long jump. Kubat hit 5.75 for a new personal best and #16 overall in NCAA DIII. The 4x400 relay team of Ambler,
Brynn Mooney,
Nicole Gretzinger and
Stella Riley took first place, marking a season best and setting a new meet record with a time of 3:47.58.
Annika Hurley took seventh in the 5000, crossing at 17:52.89.
Lauren Jaklitsch and
Payton Mehalick finished in 10th and 11th, throwing 12.23 and 12.05 meters respectively.
