GENESEO, N.Y. - The Empire 8 announced its all-conference awards on Tuesday afternoon, and the Knights had five student-athletes earn recongition.
Isabella Lavrynenko picked up First-Team honors,
Abby Dunnigan and
Ella Yartym landed on Second-Team, and
Riley Griffin and
Abby Foster rounded out the honors on Third-Team.
Lavrynenko was a staple of the Knights defense that only allowed six goals in conference play, tied for fourth best in the league. Lavynenko and the Knights defense tallied seven shutouts on the season. Yartym and Dunnigan helped lead the Knights offensively, with Yartym tallying a team high 11 points on five goals and one assist, while Dunnigan chipped in two goals and one assist.
Riley Griffin and
Abby Foster each chipped in five points on the season, as the Knights finished 5-6-7 overall and 5-2-4 in Empire 8 action.
One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2025 Women's Soccer Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen, and Griffin earned that recognition for the Knights.
