Women's Soccer Draws With RIT In First Game Of The Season

ROCHESTER, NY: The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team started their season with a draw against the RIT Tigers and sit at 0-0-1 this season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Knights put the pressure on early with a corner kick and two shots on goal in the opening minutes but were unable to find the back of the net.
  • RIT answered back with an attack of their own to end the half, but Emily McLouth came up big in net to make the save before halftime.
  • Ella Yartym and Kate Pinto each put shots on net in the opening minutes of the second half but were denied by the Tigers keeper.  Despite their efforts, the Knights were unable to get on the board and walked away 0-0 after 90 minutes of play.
QUICK FACTS:
  • The Knights were outshot 17-11 but had 63% of their shots on target compared to RIT's 23%.
  • Emily McLouth tallied four saves in net.

The Knights are home on Friday, September 4th and face off against Allegheny at 5 PM.
