GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field completed their quest for their sixth consecutive SUNYAC title today at the SUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship.The Knights picked up 235.33 points to win the program's 11th championship overall.
DAY ONE RECAP:
Geneseo's day was highlighted in the final event of the day, the 10,000m. The Knights picked up 26 points in the event, with six athletes in the top 10.
Charlie Wilson,
Austin Schoen,
Alex Hillyard,
William Hall, and
Kyle Gronau finished second through sixth, respectively, and
Justin Thang took ninth. Wilson posted a time of 31:16.83 to lead the way.
In the field events,
Bryan Jacobs added another second place finish, recording a distance of 6.99m.
Trey Feirman and
Drew Alloco teamed up to get eight points for Geneseo in the pole vault by placing fourth and sixth, and
Brett Patmore finished fifth in the javelin to get four more points for the Knights.

DAY TWO RECAP:
The Knights picked up 19 big points in the decathlon on Saturday, led by
Caleb Clarke who took first overall with a score of 6012.
Jacob Schmid and
Jonathan McNamara combined for nine more points by finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.
Alex Hillyard added another first-place finish for the Knights, earning the top spot in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:12.02. Teammates Pierce Youg,
Emerson Comer, and
Dylan Friel joined him in the top-10 to give the Knights 21 points in the event. In the 4x100, the team ofÂ
Evan Frost,
Andrew Kent,
Lance Jensen, and
Daniel Blae-Prince earned third place with a time of 42.58.
The Knights saw five runners place in the top-10 in the 1500m, with
Nick Bauman leading the way in second place at 3:53.92. Geneseo continued to rack up the points in the track events as
Brendan Style took second in the 110m hurdles, while
Bryan Jacobs and
Sam Belmont took third and seventh, respectively.
Lance Jensen then tacked on another first place finish for the Knights, taking first in the 400m at 48.31, while teammate
Andrew Kent took fourth.
Matthew Sheehan led the way in the 800m, earning a first-place finish at 1:52.58, with Brian Friedel,
Dawson Wadsworth, and
Ryan Hagan all finishing top-eight as well. In the 400m hurdles, Style finished second, Belmont third, and
Cory Jarvis eighth.
Jensen earned his second, first-place finish of the day in the 200m at 21.51, while Kent took fourth. The Knights went on to dominate the 5000m, with six runners in the top eight.
Anson Butler (14:46.70) and
Charlie Wilson (14:51.39) finished first and second, while
Kyle Gronau,
Micah McCulley,
Austin Schoen, and
William Hall took fourth through seventh, respectively. The Knights capped off the day in the 4x400 relay with the team of Belmont, Style, Sheehan, and Blae-Prince finishing third.
In the field events,
Adam Specht and
Dylan Olson took fifth and sixth in the triple jump with distances of 13.28 and 13.21, respectively. Ray Trottier picked up a point for the Knights in the shot put with a distance of 13.96.
