ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team finished second overall at the AARTFC meet this weekend at Nazareth. The Knights put up 54 points in the meet, falling to Rowan who finished first.
DAY 1 RECAP:
The Geneseo men's track and field team competed at the AARTFC Regional Championship meet on Friday, March 1 at Nazareth. After one day of competition, the Knights sit at second overall with 25 points.
Geneseo's top event came in the distance medley relay, where the team of
Nick Bauman,
Lance Jensen,
Matthew Sheehan, and
Ryan Hagan took first overall with a time of 10:00.31. In the 5000m,
Charlie Wilson and
William Hall combined for nine points, taking fourth and fifth overall, respectively. The team of
Sam Belmont,
Brendan Style,
Daniel Blae-Prince, and
Giancarlo Di Fava added three points with a sixth place finish in the 4x400 at 3:23.47. Rounding out the point scorers was
Bryan Jacobs in the long jump with a distance of 6.92m in sixth place.

DAY 2 RECAP:
Ryan Hagan kicked off day two of the meet with a first place finish in the mile. Hagan crossed the finish line with a time of 4:10.25.
Matthew Sheehan then kept the momentum going in the 800m, taking second overall with a time of 1:54.41. In the 60m hurdles,
Brendan Style and
Bryan Jacobs finished sixth and seventh overall, respectively, for five points for the Knights.
Rounding out the point scorers in day two for Geneseo was
Anson Butler in the 3000m. He tacked on six points for the Knights by finishing third overall with a time of 8:28.73.
