BOSTON AND ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team split up and traveled to the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the RIT Friday Meet on Friday and Saturday.
Lance Jensen highlighted the two days of competition by setting a new conference and program record in the 400 meter.
On Saturday, Jensen put up a time of 47.51 in the 400m, which also marked the 13th fastest time in Division III history. In addition to Jensen's record setting race, the Knights recorded multiple impressive performances at the Boston University invitational. Joining Jensen in the 400m was
Andrew Kent, who posted a time of 48.07, which marked the third fastest in school history. The team of Kent,
Sam Belmont,
Matthew Sheehan, and Jensen put up a time of 3:14.05 in the 4x400 relay, second fastest in school history and sixth fastest in Division III this year. In the 800m, Sheehan recorded a time of 1:53.58, for the sixth best time in program history.
On Friday,
Bryan Jacobs posted a big highlight for the Knights at RIT, recording a distance of 7.18m, which is good enough for ninth best in Division III this year. In the triple jump,
Brennan Delany added another first place finish for Geneseo in the triple jump, posting a distance of 13.13m. In the track events,
Zach Gauronski took second in the 800m at 2:01.18.
Aaron Langston was the top finisher for Geneseo in the 400m at 52.99 and then
Brian Kenny in the mile at 4:31.11. For the full results from the meet,

The Knights also competed in the 4000 distance medley relay on Friday at Boston. The team of
