BROCKPORT, N.Y. - For the fourth-straight season the SUNY Geneseo Men's Track & Field Team hoisted the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship trophy as the Knights placed first in the Championship meet at Brockport on Saturday.
Kieran Sheridan earned a first-place finish in the 400 with a time of 48.41 and added a leg to the Knights' winning 4x400 relay, joining Stephen Hoare, Matthew Sheehan and Peter Moller to take first. Ezra Ruggles finished first in both the 800 and the 1500 while Matthew Blauvelt swept the long distance races, placing first in both the 5000 and the 10000. Lance Jensen earned a first-place finish in the 400 hurdles while Nicky Andrews crossed first in the 3000 steeplechase. Josh Feldberg leaped to first place in the triple jump with a mark of 14.52m while Luke Andres topped the decathlon with a total score of 5,584 points.
The Knights earn their fourth-straight SUNYAC Championship and ninth overall conference crown. Geneseo's title streak is the longest in the SUNYAC since Fredonia won 20-straight titles from 1977-1996.
