ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team set multiple program records as the Knights competed at the Roc City Qualifier, hosted by Nazareth on Sunday afternoon.
Jason Rappazzo and Lance Jensen each broke a pair of records as the Knights' 4x100 and 4x400 relays each set all-time best marks in Geneseo history. Rappazzo and Jensen teamed with Bryan Jacobs an Lukas D'Alfonso to finish the 4x100 in a first-place time of 41.79. The pair joined John Goldszer and Kieran Sheridan to complete the 4x400 relay in 3:12.77, also a Geneseo all-time best. In the 800, Joshua Goldberg completed the race in 1:51.41, setting the Knights' program record and taking first place. Ezra Ruggles added the nation's top time in the 1500 this season with a 3:44.90 finish, good for second in Geneseo history. Josh Feldberg earned a first-place finish in the triple jump, leaping 14.09m.
Geneseo will travel to Chester, Pa. to compete in the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet, hosted by Widener, on Monday. Then the team will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. to take part in the AARTFC Championships, hosted by Moravian on Tuesday and Wednesday.
