BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team competed at both the Brockport Invitational and the Ithaca Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Knights sent their sprints, jumps and throws groups to Brockport while the mid-distance and distance runners took to Ithaca to compete in the Bomber Invite.
At Brockport, sophomore Lance Jensen won the 400 with a time of 50.68 while first-year Brendan Style finished just three-thousands of a second off the leader in the 60 hurdles, taking second with a time of 8.878.
Ath Ithaca, junior Nicky Andrews took first in the 5,000, setting an Ithaca facility record and posting the third-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season, clocking in at 14:23.67. Senior Kieran Sheridan took first in the 800 with a time of 1:53.49, the fifth-fastest time in the nation.
The Knights will compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University, taking on NCAA Division I competition on Friday and Saturday of next week.
