PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track & field team finished fourth at the All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field Conference Championships on Wednesday and Thursday at St. John Fisher.
Geneseo scored 64 points in the meet with a pair of event wins. Sophomores Jason Rappazzo, Lance Jensen and John Goldszer teamed with junior Kieran Sheridan to win the 4x400 with a finishing time of 3:16.30. Senior Matthew Sayre placed first in the 5,000 with a time of 14:37.75. Sophomore Ryan Mitchell earned a second-place finish in the steeplechase, crossing the finish in 9:14.14 while senior Joshua Feldberg placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 14.51m.
Brockport placed first at the AARTFC Championships with 84 points while Carnegie-Mellon (Pa.) scored 80 points for second place and Ithaca grabbed third with 79 points.
Qualifying members of the Knights will compete again at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Greensboro, N.C. beginning on May 27.
