WILLIAMSTON, MASS. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team competed at Williams College on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15 in the AARTFC Regional Championship Meet, and came away with a third place finish scoring 46 points.
DAY ONE RECAP:
The 4x400 relay team of
Arjun Ojha,
Sam Belmont,
Giancarlo Di Fava, and
Jacob Miller took first place with a meet record time of 3:09.30. The Knights impressive performance also set a new program record by nearly two seconds, topping the time set in the 2022 season by John Goldszer, Jason Rappazzo,
Lance Jensen and
Kieran Sheridan at 3:11.25. Their time also marks the fourth fastest time in Division III this season. Geneseo also picked up 13 points in the 3000m Steeplechase, with
Emerson Comer setting a meet record in first place at 8:54.32 and
James Tette in sixth place. Comer's time also marks the third fastest time in program history, and 13th in Division III.
DAY TWO RECAP:
Nick Bauman kicked things off in the 1500m race by finishing third with a time of 3:52.01, while
Jacob Miller took on the 400m and finished fourth at 47.17 seconds.
Brendan Style and
Sam Belmont combined for seven points in the 400m hurdles by placing sixth and seventh, respectively, while Style also added two points in the 110m hurdles in seventh.
Sean Stewart rounded out the competition with a seventh place finish in the triple jump at 14.03m.
