Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior forward Lindsay Wright scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Knights past State University of New York Athletic Conference rival Oswego, 4-0, on Saturday at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo and Oswego played through a scoreless first half. The Knights outshot the Lakers, 7-3 through the first period, but all three Lakers shots were on goal, while the Knights did not fire any on frame in the first half.
- The Knights stepped ahead in the second half as Wright finished off a corner kick with a well-directed header for a goal. Senior forward Hannah Sullivan earned an assist on the play as Geneseo took a 1-0 lead.
- Eight minutes later, Wright set up sophomore forward Liv Raucci with a pass at the top of the box where Raucci curled a right-footed strike just inside the far post to make it 2-0 with 30 minutes to play.
- Senior midfielder Holly Moore added a goal late in the first half, finishing a rebound off the crossbar to give the Knights a 3-0 advantage.
- Sophomore midfielder Tricia Curran added her first career goal off of an assist from junior back Faye Higgins to lift the Knights to the 4-0 win.

- Geneseo has not allowed a goal against six-straight contests, totalling 560 consecutive minutes without conceding.
- Junior goalkeeper Angel Bennett made three first half saves to preserve her second-consecutive clean sheet of the weekend.

- The Knights celebrated Senior Day, honoring the Class of 2022 in a brief pre-game ceremony. Seniors Nicole Bell, Caroline Axelsen, Julia Dell Aquila, Mackenzie Griffin, Holly Moore and Hannah Sullivan were each honored for their dedication to the Geneseo Women's Soccer program.
