Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore guard Elijah Wingfield contributed a career-high 21 points to lead the Knights past visiting New Paltz, 62-53, in SUNYAC action at Schrader Gymnasium, Friday night.

Junior forward Alex Merhige gave the Knights an early lead, 9-7, with a layup at the 14:25 mark in the first half, notching five of the Knights' first nine points of the contest.

The visiting Hawks battled back to take a three-point advantage, 14-11, until back-to-back layups from first-year guard Aaron Davis gave Geneseo a 15-14 advantage with 5:37 remaining in the half.

Junior forward Joseph Harclerode's made a pair of free throws with 1:40 remaining in the first half to give the Knights their biggest advantage of the half, 22-16, heading into halftime.
