GENEVA, N.Y. -SUNY Geneseo sophomore Natalia Krol posted a 3-1 mark in singles play and teamed with junior Cate Gluchowski for a doubles win to highlight the Knights' weekend of action at the Mary Hosking Invitational, hosted by William Smith on Saturday and Sunday.
Krol dropped a first round singles match but bounced back with three singles wins in the consolation bracket on Sunday. Junior Dana Sorrentino posted a 1-1 record, winning her first round matchup, 9-8, before falling in the quarterfinal round, 9-8.
Sophomores Grace Klomp and Julianna Schulz teamed for a doubles win, 8-2, over one of Nazareth's doubles entries.
Geneseo returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 10 when the team hosts State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) rival Oswego at 4:00 p.m.
