GENEVA, Ohio – SUNY Geneseo sophomore Ryan Dwyer set a program record in finishing second in the 200-meter dash as the Knights placed fourth out of 13 teams at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, Saturday, at the SPIRE Institution.
The Knights compiled 68 points as host Carnegie Mellon bested the field with 119.5 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dwyer posted a time of 22.42 in the 200 to break the previous record (22.53) set by Craig Harlacher in 2009.
- Junior Amman Weaver placed second in the 60 with a time of 7.11.
- Junior Luke Holtzman was the runner-up in the 3,000 with a 8:45.84 clocking.
WHAT'S NEXT
Geneseo will next be in action at the Cornell Kane Invitational next Saturday (Jan. 27) with a 10:30 a.m. start.

Sophomore Ryan Dwyer set a school record in finishing second in the 300 with a time of 35.65, breaking the previous mark held by Michael Segelin '16 (36.06) by nearly half a second.
First-year Andrew Moschetto (37.89) and sophomore Tom SanGiacomo (37.94) placed sixth and seventh, respectively, in the same event.
