NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Three national championship performances and seven All-Americans led the SUNY Geneseo track & field teams to a pair of top-10 showings at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Central (Ill.) at the Al B. Carius Track.
Paced by a pair of national championships performances by senior Alexa Wandy in the long jump and triple jump, the women finished eighth, while the men, led by junior national mile champion Isaac Garcia-Cassani, the men tied for 10th.
The men's distance medley relay comprised of Garcia-Cassani and sophomores Luke Holtzman, Zachary Hannahoe, Gillan Faulkner improved over last year's third-place showing to place national runner-up (9:58.64) a year later.
Senior Marissa Cossaro finished an All-America eighth in the 3,000 (9:52.03).
