Track & Field Programs Compete At Tufts Final Qualifying Meet

MEDFORD, Mass. - SUNY Geneseo men's and women's track & field programs competed at Tufts Final Qualifying Meet Friday with goals to qualify additional contingents for next weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at Grinnell College (Iowa).

The men's distance medley relay team of senior Ryan Moynihan, first-year James Laguerre II, first-year Lorenzo Mazzuca and sophomore Isaac Garcia-Cassani took the crown with a time of 9:59.99, which is good enough for third place nationally.

On the women's side, senior Winny Chen, senior Kylie Ryan, first-year Olivia Ryan and senior Jacqueline Huben ran the distance medley relay in a time of 11:58.16 to come in second and improve to ninth across Division III.

Junior Sara Rosenzweig crossed the finish line of the 3,000-meter run in 10:01.24 to move into 20th place in Division III. Junior Marissa Cossaro (10:12.90) and Ashley Peppriell (10:13.54), as well as sophomore Kristen Homeyer (10:17.72) also competed in the event.

Junior Alexa Wandy ran the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.15 as sophomore Camille Wutz finished the 200-meter dash in 26.71. Sophomore Lauren Bamford completed the 400-meter dash in 59.31 while senior Shannon Murphy ran the mile in 5:10.05.
