HOUGHTON, N.Y. - Junior Michael Segelin finished first in the 200-meter dash while two Knights relays took top-honors at the Houghton College Highlander Invitational, Saturday.
Segelin took first place with a time of 23.13 while teammates, junior Nate Lo Parco, sophomore Chris Odin, sophomore Brian Windisch and senior Ben Schwartz placed first in the 4x400-meter relay (3:34.48). Odin also joined sophomore Travis Briggs, sophomore Connor Christian and first-year Isaac Garcia-Cassani to capture the top spot in the distance medley (10:34.40).
Schwartz also finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (53.26) while Garcia-Cassani placed second (2:01.06) and first-year Cody Orton placed fourth (2:03.72) in the 800-meter run.
Junior Brendan Wortner came in second in the mile (4:30.16) followed by sophomore Alex Kramer in third (4:30.56).
In the high jump, junior Aidan Fullerton came in third (1.80m) while also taking fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.94).
The Knights are set to compete at the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell next Friday and Saturday (Jan. 30-31). Events will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
