GENESEO, NY: The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team blew past Keuka 25-0 for their seventh win of the season.
Olivia Luchetti highlighted the game with a record setting 21 draw controls, breaking the 12-year Geneseo record set by Emily Haggerty in 2014 as well as the Empire 8 record set by Amelia Booth from Alfred in 2022. The Knights move to 7-6 on the season and sit at 5-1 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Knights continued to command the field, taking an 8-0 lead over the Wolves in the first quarter. Natalie Long kicked things off for the Knights with an early goal at 12:23, followed by another from Rosemary Mahoney just 20 seconds later.
- Geneseo added six more, with Corinne Barden taking control with a goal and two assists during the second quarter.
- Gabby Connors highlighted the third quarter with her first career goal at 6:03, with the assist from Katie Rajkowski to extend the Knights lead to 17-0.
- Ava Mone, Cate Doxsee and Abigail Delaney each secured a hattrick in the final quarter of play, leading the Knights to a 25-0 win over Keuka.
