Hagan Sets D3 Record In The 1500M To Highlight Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, P.A. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team traveled to Bucknell University for a meet against some of the top competition in the country on Saturday, April 11, and senior Ryan Hagan etched his name in the record books, setting a new NCAA Division III record in the 1500m by posting a time of 3:38.67.

Hagan was dominant in the final lap of the race against Division I competition, out-kicking a pair of runners from Penn State to earn himself the first place finish and set the Division III record. Hagan's final lap came in at 55.40, becoming the first Division III athlete to go under 3:40 in a season, taking down the record of MIT's Ryan Wilson at 3:40.06.
