GENESEO, N.Y. - College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-America teams for Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country, and SUNY Geneseo had three student-athletes earn the nation's top honor for success on the field and in the classroom. Jacob Miller earned First-Team recognition, Sierra Doody picked up Second-Team honors, and Sam Belmont rounded out the honors for the Knights on Third-Team.

The 2025-26 Academic Academic All-America® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. In order to be eligible for both All-District and All-American consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA or above and be a starter or important reserve for their respective teams.

Miller, who has a 3.94 grade-point average was named to the first team as an finance major. Miller capped off an incredible season in 2025-26. In his Indoor Track season, Miller earned first team All-America honors in the 4x400-Meter Relay as well as second team honors in the 400-Meter Dash. He was the 2026 Empire 8 Champion in the 400-Meter Dash and the 4x400-Meter Relay. In his Outdoor Track season, Miller is a National Champion in the 4x400-Meter Relay and added a second team All-American nod in the 400-Meter Dash. He was also the 2026 Empire 8 Champion in the 400-Meter Dash and the 4x400-Meter Relay. 

Doody, who has a 3.97 grade-point average was named to the second team as an Geography and Sustainability Sciences major. Earlier in the year, Doody was named the Empire 8 Female Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year. During her cross country season, Doody landed first team All-Conference finishing third overall at the Empire 8 Championships. She was the tenth place finisher at the NCAA Regional meet and went on to compete at the National Championship meet to help SUNY Geneseo finish 22nd as a team. During her indoor track season, Doody was awarded the Empire 8 Track Athlete of the Year title. She was the E8 Champion in the 800-Meter Run and the 4x400-Meter Relay. She went on to earn All-Region honors and first team All-America honors in the 800-Meter Run. During her outdoor track season, She was the E8 Champion in the 800-Meter Run and took home second team All-Conference honors in the 400-Meter Dash. She earned All-Region honors in the 400-Meter Dash, 800-Meter Run and the 4x400-Meter Relay. 

Belmont, who has a 3.66 grade-point average was named to the third team as a Biology major. Belmont capped off his own incredible season in 2025-26. In his Indoor Track season, Belmont earned first team All-America honors in the 4x400-Meter Relay. He earned All-Region honors in the 4x400-Meter Relay as well as the 400-Meter Dash. He was the Empire 8 Champion in the 4x400-Meter Relay and was the runner-up earning second team All-Conference honors in the 400-Meter Dash. In his Outdoor Track season Belmont is a National Champion in the 4x400-Meter Relay and is the National Runner-Up in the 400-Meter Hurdles. Both honors landed him a first team All-American. He is the Empire 8 Champion in the 400-Meter Hurdles and the 4x400-Meter Relay.
