GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team fell to the Clarkson Golden Knights 14-6 this afternoon, moving to 1-3 on the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights kept it close through the first quarter, only down 4-2 against Clarkson, with the goals coming from Ryan Fitzgerald and Ryan Trebing.
• The Golden Knights went on a three goal streak to open the second quarter before Aksel Stanat added one with five minutes left in the half. Ronnie Trebing added another at 2:50, with the assist from Jacob Pensabene, cutting Clarksons lead to 7-4 heading into halftime.
• Clarkson continued their push, adding four more in the third while the Knights were unable to find the back of the net. The added three more in the final fifteen minutes of play, but Ian Leahey was able to snap their streak, scoring at 2:14. Nick Stockwell was able to sneak one more in with only 12 seconds left to play, making the final score 14-6.

QUICK FACTS:

• Ben Bradshaw picked up 16 saves in net against the Golden Knights.
• Geneseo went 14-23 on faceoffs, with Cole Parker winning 10-14.

The Knights are on the road next weekend, facing off against Maritime on Saturday, March 14^th at 1 PM.
