UTICA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team competed at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational this weekend, and came away with multiple strong performances.
In the first event of the meet, the Knights set a program record in the 4x200 relay. The team of
Andrew Kent,
Jack Towns,
Jacob Miller raced to a time of 1:27.93 for first place as well as a new facility record. In the 400m, Arjun Ohja picked up a regional qualifying time in second place at 49.73. The Knights returned to the top of the podium in the 800m, with
Dawson Wadsworth earning the top spot at 1:56.62, with
Bryan Friedel and
Andrew Donner close behind in second and fourth, respectively.
Ryan Hagan capped off the track events by placing first and setting a facility record in the 3000m with a time of 8:08.92.
In the field events, Will Hawken put up an impressive performance in the heptathlon, finishing first overall with 4564 points. Hawken finished first in the 60m hurdles and the 1000m, and second in the 60m and shot put.
