GENESEO, NY: The SUNY Geneseo men's hockey team celebrated seniors
Dakota Zarudny and
Alex Dameski this evening in their game against Brockport. The Knights ultimately fell to the Golden Eagles 3-2, moving to 16-7-1 overall and a 12-4-0 UCHC record while Brockport moves to 10-14-0, with a 6-9-0 conference record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Brockport struck first early in the first to take a 1-0 lead. Despite putting 17 shots on net, the Knight were unable to get on the board before the end of the first.
- The Golden Eagles tallied another five minutes into the second to extend their lead. Filip Wiberg answered back with the Knights first goal at 2:51 left to make it 2-1, getting the assist from Danny Bagnole.
- Brockport added another on the powerplay, but Geneseo fired back with a goal from Greg Diamond, who picked up the rebound from Cameron Ricotta. The Knights continued to fight, adding 22 more shots on goal but were unable to find the back of the net, falling to Brockport 3-2.
QUICK FACTS:
- Filip Wiberg tallied his ninth goal of the season, while Greg Diamon scored his fourth. Â
- The Knights outshot Brockport 57-24.

Geneseo will travel down the road to Brockport tomorrow night for a 7 PM game against the Golden Eagles.
