GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team finished first overall at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup, scoring 116.5 points to beat out RIT in second place with 101.
The Knights kicked off the track section of the meet in dominant fashion, taking first through third in the 5000m.
Emerson Comer earned the top spot at 14:36.59, while
Collin Brown and
Kole Owens finished second and third with times of 15:03.18, and 15:16.58.
Ryan Hagan took first in the mile, recording a time of 4:08.63, to beat out second place by .14 seconds. In the 400m, the Knights added another top finish, this time with
Jacob Miller crossing first at 48.64. Hagan notched his second, first place finish of the meet by winning the 800m with a time of 1:53.07. The Knights capped off the track events by placing first and second in the 4x400 relay. The team of
Sam Belmont,
Andrew Kent, Arjun Ohja, and
Jacob Miller won the race with a time of 3:18.51.
Raymond Trottier highlighted the field events by placing second in the shot put at a distance of 14.68m.
