ROCHESTER, NY: The SUNY Geneseo men's swimming & diving team competed at RIT this weekend, taking down the Tigers 200 to 153 for their tenth win this season.
The 400-yard medley relay kicked things off with a first-place finish, with
Dylan Gallub,
Alex Palmer,
Brian Pabisch and
Jake Nielsen touching at 3:23.12. They followed it with another first place in the 200-yard IM relay, posting a time of 1:32.08.
Connor Baird led the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:52.68, while
Jake Nielsen and
Alex Palmer did the same in the 100-yard breast, finishing at 55.44 and 55.58. Palmer had yet another impressive performance in the 200-yard breast, finishing at 2:01.23 for first place.
Peter Peyser and
Brian Pabisch tied for first in the 100-yard free with both Knights touching at 46.40. Pabisch then took first in the 50-yard free with his time of 20.88, with Nielsen close behind in second with a time of 21.23. In the 200-yard IM, Palmer and Baird took the top two spots, with Palmer in first with a time of 1:54.20. Baird Followed it with his own first place finish in the 400-yard IM, finishing at 4:07.79. Â Geneseo swept the 100-yard butterfly, with Baird,
Jack Keene and Pabisch, touching at 49.75, 50.27 and 51.23 respectively. In the 3-meter dive,
Greg Meder led for the Knights, scoring 612.65 points for first place.
The 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay had a dominating performance after the team of Pabisch, Nielsen, Peyser and Gallub took first place in both races, with final times of 1:23.04 and 3:02.92.
The Knights will travel to Ithacan College on Saturday, January 31
st.
